Disney knows how much kids love technology, and Edge is full of it! There are individual computer stations with notebook computers available to play games and access a special onboard social media application designed just for them. The Disney cruise kids clubs start with the It's a Small World Nursery for babies and toddlers.

My daughter really enjoyed all the activities at Edge and they did a great job creating fun activities for the kids. I did a lot of research and was happy to discover how much I really enjoyed the Disney Dream Kids Club as an option aboard the Disney Dream. We spent time on the Disney Dream and although there are so many great activities on the Disney Dream for families, Disney’s Oceaneer Club was one of our favorites. While designated as a teens-only hangout, Vibe is chaperoned by some of the coolest counselors at sea, in a laid-back way that allows teens to feel as unrestricted and comfortable as they can possibly be. An activity room filled with perfect items for tiny hands, like horns to honk, wheels to spin, and buttons to push.

Disney Cruise Youth Clubs- Nursery, Kids, Teens

Kids will receive a wristband (or a special coded cruise card) that enables them to sign in and out of the clubs. Disney Cruise Line makes sure their age group policies fit an array of preferences. You'll notice some overlap in the Disney cruise kids club ages. We look forward to welcoming you aboard the Disney Wish and are writing with important information about our onboard youth activities spaces.

All About the Disney Dream Kids Clubs

For the younger ones, they tend to stay in the Club most of the time as that has activities geared more toward them. Open House is great to get the really little ones more acclimated to the space and the counselors. One of the great things about Edge’s location in the funnel is the views of the pool decks below. The windows are made so that kids can see out, but guests on the decks can’t see in. Another cool feature is that the AquaDuck water coaster winds through the funnel and three portholes in Edge give silhouetted views of the riders as they zip through the funnel.

There’s a stage in the hub of the club where there will be special shows and character appearances. The Disney Cruise Oceaneer Club and Lab is meant for kids ages 3 to 10 and featuers two separate themed spaces. The Oceaneer Lab focuses on fun learning activities while the the Oceaneer Club is focused on Disney themed fun. Is extremely limited so book your reservation as soon as your window becomes available. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis during the open house on Embarkation Day or anytime throughout your cruise. The first day activities are great for kids, especially tweens and teens, to participate in as they will often offer icebreaker events so kids can get to know each other.

Lastly, the different spaces on the Disney Dream Class ships are perfect for teens to hang out and make friends. All ships have pools, splash areas and waterslides or rides, as well as movies both on the pool deck and in a dedicated theater. Activities for the whole family take place in the D Lounge and might include games shows, trivia, crafts and karaoke. Disney Cruise Line has one of the best kids' programs at sea, with age-appropriate hangout and play spaces for babies through older teens. Offered for kids aged 3 to 12, the Oceaneer Club is inspired by some of Disney’s most popular stories.

On the Dream and Fantasy, the fun doesn’t stop inside the club. Chairs and loungers are great for sunbathing, and when the sun gets too hot, there are two wading pools, fountains, jets, and misters to help cool you down. If sunbathing isn’t your thing, ping pong and foosball are available as well.

If you have a child within this age range and have already completed online registration for Disney’s Oceaneer Club or Disney’s Oceaneer Lab, know that your child will attend Edge. Guests with children 3 to 10 years of age may continue to utilize the online youth activities registration process as part of Online Check-in. What Parents Need to Know About the Disney Dream Kid’s Club

No the kids club on the Disney Cruise is included in your vacation package with the exception of the nursery that requires payment. As a parent my biggest concern was for my kids safety when they visited the Disney Dream kids clubs. The Oceaneer Club and the Oceaneer Lab do not have many difference except for the theme.

The first time we went on a Disney cruise, I thought my daughter was very little compared to the older year-old running around the club. For the youngest people aboard the ship, there’s the It’s a Small World Nursery. Parents can also check on their kids unnoticed through a window in the nursery's main play area which is a neat way for parents to check in without alerting their little ones to their presence. This was tough for me because we couldn’t participate with the kids during their time other then during the open house hours. There are a couple ways to contact your kids when they are at Edge.

You can also make or alter your reservations during the open house on Embarkation Day on a first-come, first-served basis. Because space is extremely limited, book your child’s nursery stay as soon as possible. This change is also applicable to Scuttle’s Cove which is the kids club for the younger ones at Castaway Cay. This has also changed from 3 to 12 years of age to 3 to 10 years of age.

Cribs are available for nap time in a quiet room separate from the playroom. Disney Wish is the first ship in the fleet to offer a dedicated space for the oldest kids. The Hideaway is the Disney cruise kids club for late high school and college-age young adults. Disney Cruise Line has updated the age ranges allowed in some of their onboard kids’ clubs. During our youth activities Open House times, Guests of all ages are permitted in youth activity spaces, including Disney’s Oceaneer Club, Disney’s Oceaneer Lab, Edgeand Vibe. My kids usually planned their kids’ club visits with activities going on during the day. You’ll want to bring your own diapers, wipes, food, etc, and staff members can feed and change babies. Both children and parents must check in at the front desk for the Oceaneer Club.

Each Disney Cruise Line ship comes with a variety of youth clubs for all ages. This includes a nursery for infants and toddlers, a club for school aged children, and a club exclusive to teens. Once you get that spot secured, you can rest assured that your little one will have a fun, safe, and Disney-riffic time.

If you need to cancel a reservation make sure that you do that at least 4 hours ahead of time or you will pay for all of the sessions that you have booked. There is a discount for children who are in the same family as they are only charged $4 per hour. Note that effective on sailings that depart on or after December 21, 2023 the age range in Disney’ Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab changes from 3 to 12 to 3 to 10. Your children can stay as long as you want them to at the Kid’s Clubs.

Like Edge, Vibe offers a number of activities as well as a comfortable space to relax and make new friends. Again, this can be a great way for your teenagers to have more freedom on the ship, and many spend lots of time in the teen club as they make more friends during their sailing. Parents should plan on checking in their kids for the programs on Embarkation Day.
